Repair of Frames (main structure for DNV 2.7-1 frames)

Occasionally, some of the main structure in the DNV frames will require repair due to damage or heavy corrosion which sandblasting is not enough. Replacing the main structure will require 3rd party supervision from DNV and 3rd party welders to perform the job. CMS is able to organise for the repairs while we perform the maintenance on the rest of the pack.

References are made to DNV Standard 2.7-1 Standard for certification offshore containers for such works:

  • a. Visual inspection of markings, welds, pad eyes and lashing points, structure, door closures, floor, and fork pockets.
  • b. Non-destructive examination of pad eyes.
  • c. Repair of damaged cylinder pack frames.
  • d. Inspection, test and repair of lifting sets.
